Frequently Asked Questions for Wetsuit Designers

Can I use a blend of CR and SBR to save money on a winter suit?
We do not recommend it. Blended rubber is called SCR. High-grade SCR is fantastic for mild spring and summer water. But freezing winter water is too dangerous. The SBR portion of the blend will stiffen in the cold. It will crush under pressure. For true cold-water survival, you must use one hundred percent pure CR. Do not compromise on winter safety.

How can my team test the sample to ensure it is pure CR?
You should perform a physical stretch test. Ask us to mail you a piece of raw, unlaminated rubber sponge. Pull the bare rubber firmly. Pure CR will stretch very far with a smooth, buttery resistance.
