Flaw 1: Solid Rubber Crowns
Cheap factories make the top of the hood from a solid piece of neoprene. Air is lighter than water. It always flows up. When the diver exhales, the air hits that solid rubber ceiling and stays there.
Flaw 2: The Flat Neck Tube
Look at the neck of a cheap hood. The factory just cuts two flat, straight pieces of rubber and sews them together.
A human neck is not a straight tube. A straight rubber tube will either choke the diver if it is too tight, or it will let freezing water pour in if it is too loose.

We fix the balloon problem permanently. We puncture tiny holes at the very top of the hood.
But we do not just leave open holes. Cold water would leak in. We use an "Offset Vent" design. We put a second, overlapping piece of neoprene inside the top of the hood.
When air pressure builds up inside, it pushes through the first hole, travels between the layers, and exits out the top. The air escapes freely. But when ocean water pushes down, the overlapping rubber seals shut. Water cannot enter.
2. 3D Anatomical Neck Patterning
