Q1: What makes your neoprene "hypoallergenic"?
Standard neoprene uses chemicals called thiurams to speed up the baking process. These thiurams are the main cause of skin allergies. Our hypoallergenic neoprene is manufactured using a different, cleaner curing process. It is completely free of these harsh accelerators and 100% free of natural latex.
Q2: Does perforating the neoprene make it too weak for a splint?
No. The neoprene acts as a cushion, not the hard structural support (the hard plastic or fiberglass does that). We use precision micro-perforation. The holes are small enough to allow air through, but the rubber sponge stays dense and strong enough to provide excellent, soft cushioning against the bones.
Q3: Can patients wash the splint liner?
