How do I test the abrasion resistance of your fabric sample?
Do not just look at the sample in your office. You need to stress-test it. Take the piece of Supratex or Kevlar outside. Rub it aggressively against a rough concrete sidewalk or a brick wall. A cheap nylon will pill, fuzz, and tear instantly. Our specialized fabrics will resist the friction and maintain their structural weave.
Will heavy-duty Kevlar fabric cause the athlete to overheat?
Kevlar is a very dense weave. It does not breathe well. If you are designing heavy knee or chest pads, we highly recommend our mechanical perforation service.
