Q1: Does Flatlock stitching leave holes in the neoprene?
Yes. Flatlock needles go completely through the rubber. This is excellent for sports braces because it allows hot sweat and air to escape. It keeps the athlete's skin cool and dry during a heavy workout.
Q2: Can you use a straight stitch anywhere on a neoprene brace?
We avoid straight stitches on stretchy neoprene. A straight thread cannot stretch. It snaps under pressure. We only use straight stitches on non-stretch areas, like attaching a firm plastic logo badge to a solid strap.
